HSBC Named IFR Middle East Bond House of the Year 2025
HSBC has been named IFR’s Middle East Bond House of the Year 2025, recognizing its role in some of the most significant bond and sukuk transactions across the Middle East during the year.
According to IFR, the award reflects HSBC’s leadership in a year in which Saudi Arabia became the most important jurisdiction globally for international bond issuance across G3 currencies. HSBC held senior roles on a wide range of Saudi Arabian transactions during 2025, including sovereign, Public Investment Fund and corporate deals, and was involved in most major transactions that followed throughout the year.
Beyond Saudi Arabia, IFR highlighted HSBC’s participation in several major regional transactions, including sovereign and corporate issuances across the Gulf Cooperation Council and wider Middle East. The bank was also recognised for its distribution reach, with notable allocations to investors in Asia and the Middle East on key transactions. IFR concluded that HSBC’s consistent presence on the region’s most important deals underpinned its selection as Middle East Bond House of the Year 2025.
